To create Harry, Hermione and Ron like trio He’s simply from a different time period, with different perspectives on what’s right and wrong, respectful and disrespectful, etc. The reason is not to put down ane author, because I believe that would be an injustice to his abilities and potential, but simply to offer my perspective as a reader.

James Potter and the Hall of Elders’ Crossing
One of my favorite quotes was from Rose Weasley, daughter of Ron and Hermione, when being pressured ccurse help James with a homework assignment, “you obviously have me confused with someone else But the good parts were not original, and the original parts were not good. Following the immense popularity of the first book, Lippert launched the website for the sequel, immediately creating buzz in the Harry Potter community and garnering over thirty-thousand hits in its first mames weeks.
While reading Curse of the Gatekeeper, you will notice that there is two story lines in play. The elements taken from canon are often subtly or unsubtly wrong, or are left vaguely described because, of course, all the readers will know what they look like. They’re about the children of Harry, Ron, Hermione, etc. Lippert has set this series up for a TON of side stories, which I believe he would profit greatly from. Their “thing” was well explained in the end. I decided it wasn’t worth carrying on for the good bits when I was so frequently being jarred by the bits that weren’t good.
Gatekeeler swat them away and move on ; The writer has given us a gift so that we might continue to enjoy Jamfs long after the series officially ended. The mother of all surprises was that Harry’s second son was sorted into the Slytherin House while the only child of Draco Malfoy gets sorted into the Gryffindor House.
