Part thriller, part love story and part fairy tale, this brilliantly original novel from a bestselling German author will take your breath away It is worth noting though that this is a book originally written in German, and translated to English, and the gorgeous story helps outweigh any minor flaws in the writing.

Yet she’s still alive I could have overlooked at least some of this had the characters been interesting or likable, but nope! Fantasy, but not really. For me there was a lot of description and not enough action.

I am not sure what aspect of the story grabbed my attention the most or why I thought this book was brilliant but I know I loved it. Originally written in German this book was Mein erstes Heven von Christoph Marzi und mir hat die Story wirklich gut gefallen. Yet she still lives and breathes.
