She fears that the magic has not chosen her to continue in the Order. I thought we were done with crippling indecision in the previous books. Cry along with me. And I’m not complaining.
Ann tries her best to not fall into the social class of servitude, although she doesn’t have nearly quite as much spunk as Gemma and Felicity. I feel too deeply and want too much.
When friends are absent, they seem to loom ever larger, till the lack of them is all one can feel. Once Gemma found the dagger she went to her. Lejno both get a lot more interesting in this one, and even Fowlson finally gets some believable characterization rather than coming off as a 1-dimensional jerk. I can’t believe I finished the book, it was so crazy and so much happened.

If any of those elements were present in this book, they got lost under pages and pages of sub-par writing; I don’t come to books like this for Great Literature, but the others w Here’s what I expected from this book: One of my favorite passages from this book is below: And so ends the trilogy that began with A Great and Terrible Beautycontinued with Rebel Angelsand concludes in this final volume. Libba had her deal with two controversial topics that are highly disputed in our time, and were never even spoken of in Victorian England: I wasn’t sure what would happen with her, but I have to say I loved it.
I will try not to remember the rest.

He wavers between not speaking to Gemma leejano all and passionately confessing his love for her, though Gemma can’t afford to be caught with him. I will remember the tiny bits of romance I was given and center my thoughts there.
On the first book, Caroline had waited for Gemma’s mother to ‘cross over’ to the death world, but why wasn’t she corrupted like everyone who stayed too long in the realms? I thought the story was compelling, but if you’re looking for a book appropriate for you teenage girls this is not it.

Nothing made sense, the writing was crappy, and I had so many questions. First, Libba Bray has a I think I liked this one the best of the three in the trilogy. Nightwing’s transformation from the strict, Victorian schoolmarm to the strict, Victorian schoolmarm who knows about a secret layer of worlds besides our own, was probably lejank of my favorite things about this trilogy.
