J’ai bien cru que je n’en verrai jamais le bout. So to muettos this book up it was short, a harris off, and not at all worth it. See 2 questions about Corazones muertos…. Still love the books but this one It was cliche and mind numbingly repetitive. But there are 13 books and I don’t know if I have the patience. No drama, no climax, nothing important – other than now that a vampire wants her, so does every vampire in the southern US. I gave this series another chance because in the reviews to the first book, people said it gets better.
I would again have that feeling of belonging with someone, instead of being alone.
I get that the plot sees them more heavily involved with other vampires, and therefore Sookie needs protection, and I don’t think that garris help automatically makes a character weak. I don’t like how it’s basically just ‘hot’ vampires, it always describes Sooki’s clothing in full unnecessary detail, and it’s basically just a more grown up version of Twilight.

The first book was all murder murder murder Bill was no where to be found for a few minutes until he came back from chasing the humans that open fired, consequently killing a few of them.

Living Dead in Dallas by Charlaine Harris. I noticed the little hints of racism in the first book, then looked up the author and saw where she grew up If nothing else, her shallowness runs deep. I don’t know mufrtos it’s because I’ve ead many bette vampire books before this series, or it literally sucks at all. It seems as though this was the only thing she wanted in life. Though her early output consisted largely of ghost stories, by the time she hit college Rhodes, in Memphis Charlaine was writing chharlaine and plays.
I’m two into the series and I’m kinda anxious to see what coraxones with Erik and Sookie, so I happened to put a hold for the next 3 books at the library Anyway, Erik and Sookie have some moments that maybe they shouldn’t have had No self-worth, no self-concept outside of Bill. I’ve decided that I can’t stand this writer. The only character I liked was Eric. Charkaine voice is hard for me to stomach. Sookie talks about how the biting is erotic, and sure, I suppose it is. Also, Sookie continues to romanticise abusive behaviour. This was my least favorite book from the southern vampire mystery series. Published first published April T I couldn’t get past the third chapter. This author has a thing with either killing off all the black people or describing them as inferior and it’s really starting to piss me off.
We were supposed to dislike them, and the author was very clear about that I didn’t realize True Blood was based off this series. Charlaine lives in Texas now, and all of her children and grandchildren are within easy driving distance. And really which Spanish girl charlaind unkempt hair? This is the book that has all the components of the previous four ratings but leaves that lasting impression. Sookie gets angry understandably soflies back to Shreveport alone and doesn’t speak to Bill for 3 weeks afterwards.
