Our heroine Diana comes to London to visit her family. She has grown up in the West Indies on a plantation timeframe I think and so you know, there is going to be some discussion of slavery and is it wrong.
Learned a bit about the colonial times in the West Indies to help with my poli-sci class. Calypso Magic is one of those books I read many years ago, then picked it up again today. She finds Lyonel crude, unbelievably rude and lacking in manners.

The story line is interesting and will keep you paying attention until the very last page with lovely sex scenes sprinkled throughout! I also enjoyed the bit of mystery involved in the second half of the novel on Diana’s family plantation.

I was bored through most of the book and laughed little. Outraged, Lyon decides on retribution, and tricks Diana into joining him at a private glade — only to turn her over his knee with the intention of thrashing her. Stranded on an uninhabited island, Diana and Lyon finally put their differences aside and, when res Diana Savarol was sent to London to “have a Season” and find a husband. Do enjoy all of them. My first Catherine Caulter novel.
