Amulet is a graphic novel series illustrated and written by Kazu Kibuishi and published by Scholastic. The storyline that involves a hero who finds a powerful object of some sort that could be good or could be bad is one pretty classic exa Meh.
This was just fun, imaginative fantasy with magic, robots, an alternate reality, and the cutest bunny ever: He reenters the void to wake up a still-sleeping Emily, and find they’re in the moment Max succumbed to the Voice.

But this one caught my eye and paved the way for other fantastic graphic novels, like Saga, Lumberjanes or Giant Days. I will be continuing with this series.
After the death of her father, Emily and her family move to her great-grandfather Silas’ house near San Francisco. In the sixth book, he helps defeat the shadows stonekeepee the cleaning mech suits. I liked the story, quite a lot.
Originally, he played the antagonist in the first two books, but in the third his purposes were revealed. I would have enjoyed it a bit more though, if there was more dialogue and interaction between the characters but nonetheless grabbed me from the very start.

The amulet tells Emily that her family is in danger. Failing to find Emily or Navin, they upturn Trellis, who is revealed to be the Elf Prince, and Luger, who seems timid and unable compared to the previous book.
Volume 2, here I come! The main characters are easy to relate to, and the supporting characters are serious but amusing at the same time. Together with Miskit, they face the most terrifying monster of all, and Em finally has the chance to save someone she loves. I read it and immediately put it down again for a few hours before I wanted to continue.
I suck at reviewing graphic novels so here are my habitual dot points: I can’t wait to pick up volume 2! What made this really worth reading though were the beautiful illustrations! After Emily stomekeeper company find the city of Cielis, they attempt to see the Guardian Council, but they slowly realize that something strange is going on in the city.
