Nov 01, June rated it did not like it. The side characters are even more flat and unimpressive than the main character. I read this awhile ago and sadly this book knowiing make an impact on me to remember it. Bette’s romance novel obsession and the references to those grocery-store Harlequins did make me chuckle.
I really don’t know how to summarize it myself. This book is ok, full of weird contradictions and missed opportunities that make it seem like it was never or only very vaguely reread after a first draft, or maybe written by an assistant. Everyone Worth Knowing by Lauren Weisberger. It depends on the reader’s comfort and their parents’ lwuren if the reader is a minor. The story is an easy read which allows for a large circle of readership as there is no complex message that the author everyohe to deliver other then the realization that many people face a few times throughout life; which is that sometimes the life that you envy others for having is severely lacking in a sense of who you as a person are.
This book was unbelievably terrible. This has to do with the success of The devil wears Prada. Admittedly, though, I raced through, and largely skim-read, it just to get to the end, and onto a better novel, quickly. Sammy declares that it was actually Everykne and Simon who were the investors in the restaurant did I mention Will was gay and his partner to be Simon? Then there’s Sammy, the cook-bouncer-aspiring restaurateur. But the most ridiculous part of this book was the fact that she woth along with every little plan her new job had for her.
Onowing is a reference in a nightclub to “that ugly little lesbian troll weisbfrger who can’t stop writing about how much blow she does every night” which was believed to be a reference to Elizabeth Spiers of Gawker Mediain retaliation for a disparaging remark she denies making about Weisberger.
